Non-exclusive Departments

In the Philippines, each provincial, municipality and city has its own different departments that will assist the needs of their inhabitants. Samples of Non-exclusive in city and municipal (Non-committal; short version for a first overview): Municipalities and cities have their own Department of Fire Protection in accordance with the Philippine government code on fire protection. The Assesor’s Department is located inside the municipal and city halls; their primary function is to insure land titles, issues like registration, archiving and transferring of Land titles. One-Stop-Shop Department inside the municipals and cities is the responsible for all business establishments within the area of their jurisdiction. It is called one-stop-shop because everything needed in processing the application for business permit is located in one office. Treasury Department can be found also inside the city or municipal hall. It is in charge of collecting appropriate taxes to their inhabitants. This department is also responsible in posting the audited financial statement of the city or municipality for transparency purposes and for the benefit of the public interest. Legal Department is located inside the city or municipal halls. It provides public lawyers that give legal services. Environment Department is located inside the city and municipal halls. It implements the laws regarding environmental and natural resources issues and helps in developing plans in protecting the environment. Public Schools are controlled by the government through the Department of Education Culture and Sports. It provides free education from pre-elementary up to high school.
